Overview
This image carries both perpetual releases and lets the installer decide which one goes on the machine. That is useful when you are setting up several computers with different requirements, or when you are not sure whether an old add-in will tolerate the newer suite and want the option to fall back without downloading again.
The 2024 release is the newer of the two, with a refreshed interface, the current Excel function set and improved performance on large files. The 2021 release is the safer pick where compatibility with an existing environment matters. Both install preactivated through the volume channel, in 32 and 64 bit, with the language selected during setup.
Choosing between the two
Pick 2024 for a new machine. It is faster on large workbooks, the interface is cleaner, and it has the most recent function and feature set that a perpetual licence can carry. There is no ongoing cost and no subscription check on either.
Pick 2021 if a line of business add-in, a database driver or a macro suite is known to work with it and has not been tested on the newer release. It is the more conservative choice and remains fully supported by everything written for it.
What is in the suites
Both are Professional Plus, which means Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher rather than the reduced consumer selection. Access in particular is the reason many people need this edition, since it appears in no other perpetual bundle.
Macros, VBA and the add-in surface are unchanged in both. Documents move between the two and the subscription builds without conversion, with the usual caveat that a formula using a newer function will show an error on an older install.
Deployment
The image includes configuration files for both suites, so a silent install can be scripted for a set of machines with the edition, architecture, language and component selection fixed in advance. That is the reason to prefer this combined image over the individual ones when there is more than one computer involved.
Only one suite can be installed at a time. The installer will not put both on the same machine and will stop if it finds the other already present.

Questions about this release
Can I install both suites?

Which one should I choose?
2024 for a new machine, 2021 if you depend on an add-in or driver that has not been tested on the newer release.
Is Access included?
Yes, in both editions, along with Publisher and Outlook.
Can I script the install?
Yes. Configuration files for both editions are in the image.
Comments
Went with 2024, our old accounting add-in works fine after all. Good to have had the option.
Activated on both editions during install. No key, no account.
Comments are read before they appear. If a build stops working, say so here and it gets rebuilt rather than quietly left up.
Set up eleven machines off one download using the silent configs. Exactly what I needed this for.
