Overview
Office 2019 Professional Plus is the last of the perpetual releases that still feels light. It installs, it opens, it does not sign you in, and it does not change under you between one month and the next. For a machine that has to open a document the same way in two years as it does today, that stability is the reason to pick it over a subscription build.
This is the volume channel image with activation already applied, offered as a direct download and as a magnet for anyone on a connection that cannot hold a single large transfer. Both contain the same image. The suite covers Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher, in 32 and 64 bit, with the language selectable during setup.
What is in the suite
Word, Excel and PowerPoint are the versions most template libraries and corporate document standards are still written against, which matters when a file has to open the same way on someone else's machine. Outlook handles the standard mail protocols along with Exchange accounts. Access is included, which the consumer editions never have, and Publisher is present for the small print jobs it is still used for.
Excel in this release carries the newer function set including the dynamic array behaviour, the chart types added in the 2019 cycle, and Power Query in its integrated form for pulling and reshaping data from files and databases without a macro.
32-bit or 64-bit
The 64-bit build is the right default. It is the only one that can address enough memory for large spreadsheets, and the compatibility argument that used to favour 32-bit has mostly gone away. Pick 32-bit only if you depend on an old add-in or a database driver that was never rebuilt, which in practice means some accounting and line of business tools.
The two cannot be installed side by side. If a 32-bit Office is already present, it has to be removed first, and the installer will stop and tell you rather than doing it silently.
Activation and updates
Activation is applied during install through the volume channel path, so the suite reports as licensed on first launch with no key entry and no sign-in. It does not expire on a timer.
Security updates from the normal update channel can still be applied and do not disturb the licensing on this build. Feature updates do not apply to a perpetual release, so what you install is what you keep.

Questions about this release
Does it stay activated after updates?
Yes. Security updates from the normal channel do not disturb the licensing on this build.
Can I install it next to Office 2021?
Not reliably. The suites share components and Microsoft does not support the combination. Pick one.
Is Outlook included?
Yes, along with Access and Publisher, which the consumer editions do not carry.
Direct or magnet?
Identical images. Use the magnet if your connection struggles to hold a single multi gigabyte transfer.
Comments
Took the magnet because my line drops. Rebuilt fine and the hash matched.
Access being in the image is the whole reason I came here. Works.
Comments are read before they appear. If a build stops working, say so here and it gets rebuilt rather than quietly left up.
Installed on a fresh 11 machine, activated on its own, no key needed. Word opens in about two seconds.
