Overview

This is the image for someone setting up a machine from nothing who does not want to do the job twice. Windows 10 Professional and the Office 2021 suite are in one image, both licensed, so the sequence of install Windows, download Office, install Office, license Office becomes a single pass that ends at a desktop with a word processor already on it.

Nothing has been stripped out of either component to make them fit together. The Windows side is the standard Professional installer and the Office side is the standard Professional Plus suite, integrated during setup rather than bolted on afterwards. It is offered as a magnet primarily, because at this size a torrent handles an unreliable connection far better than a single transfer does.

What the integration actually does

Office is applied as part of the setup pass rather than as a separate install afterwards, which means the first boot arrives at a desktop with the suite already present and licensed. There is no second reboot, no second license step and no separate download over whatever connection the machine happens to have.

The applications included are the full Professional Plus set: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher. Anything you do not want can be removed afterwards through the normal Office modification route without disturbing the licensing on what remains.

The Windows side

It is Professional rather than Home, which brings the group policy editor, drive encryption, remote desktop as a host and the ability to defer feature updates. Those are the four things that make a working machine predictable, and the update deferral in particular is why a lot of people still choose this edition specifically.

The base is the 22H2 servicing branch with the current cumulative update integrated, so a fresh install is not immediately followed by an hour of patching. Hardware requirements are the Windows 10 ones, which is why this image still goes onto machines that the newer release refuses.

Installing it

Write the image to a USB stick of 16 GB or larger, since the combined image is well past the size of a Windows only one. The stick is erased. Secure boot does not need to be turned off, and the image installs in the modern firmware mode without adjustment.

Choose a custom install for a clean system. During setup the network sign-in prompt can be skipped if you want a local account, which is worth doing on a machine that will be handed to someone else. After the first boot, check both the Windows activation page and the account panel inside Word, then install manufacturer drivers.

Questions about this release

Is Office really licensed as well?

Yes, both components are. Check the Windows activation page and the account panel inside Word after the first boot.

Can I remove the Office applications I do not want?

Yes, through the normal Office modification route. The licensing on what remains is unaffected.

Why is it offered as a magnet?

Because at this size a torrent survives an unreliable connection far better than a single direct transfer. A direct mirror is available too.

Will it install on a machine that refuses Windows 11?

Almost certainly. The requirements here are the Windows 10 ones, which is a large part of why this image exists.

One pass and the machine came up with Word already on it, both licensed. Saved me an hour per machine across six of them.

Checksum matched off the magnet. Secure boot left on, installed without any firmware fiddling.

Removed Access and Publisher afterwards, everything else stayed licensed. Exactly as the notes say.

Comments are read before they appear. If a build stops working, say so here and it gets rebuilt rather than quietly left up.
