Overview
CCleaner has been on more machines than almost any other utility, and Professional Plus is the bundle rather than the single program. It carries the cleaner itself with real time monitoring, a defragmenter, a file recovery tool and a hardware inspection utility, which between them cover most of the reasons anyone opens a maintenance program in the first place.
The licence is applied here, so the upgrade banner across the top of the window is gone, the scheduled cleaning works, and the automatic browser cleaning on close is available rather than shown as a locked feature. All four components install together and each one runs as its own program.
The cleaner itself
The custom clean panel lists every category it will touch before it touches anything, and reading that list once is worth doing. Browser caches and temporary files are the safe majority of what it clears. Saved sessions, cookies and stored form data are also on the list and clearing them will log you out of things, which is either what you wanted or an unpleasant surprise depending on whether you looked.
The health check is the simplified version for people who do not want to read a list, and it covers the safe categories only. Real time monitoring, which is a Professional feature, watches junk accumulate and offers to clear it once it passes a threshold you set, rather than waiting for you to remember.
Registry, startup and the tools panel
The registry cleaner remains the most argued about feature in the program. It does find genuine orphaned entries, and it does back up before it removes anything, but the honest position is that it will not make a modern machine measurably faster. Use it if you like a tidy system, take the backup it offers, and do not expect a performance change.
The tools panel is where the useful everyday features live. Startup management shows what launches with the machine including scheduled tasks and context menu entries, uninstall handles programs that have broken their own uninstaller, duplicate finder works across drives, and the disk analyser shows what is actually consuming space rather than guessing.
The other three programs in the bundle
Defraggler defragments individual files rather than only whole drives, which is occasionally exactly what you need. It correctly identifies solid state drives and refuses to defragment them, offering an optimisation pass instead.
Recuva recovers deleted files, with a deep scan mode for cases where the file table entry is gone. Success depends entirely on whether the space has been written over, so it should be run as soon as the mistake is noticed and ideally from a different drive. Speccy reports the hardware inventory including model numbers, firmware versions and live temperatures, which is the fastest way to answer what is actually inside a machine.

Questions about this release
Will it log me out of websites?
It will if you leave cookies and saved sessions checked. Read the custom clean list once and uncheck those if you want to stay signed in.
Does the registry cleaner speed the machine up?
Realistically no. It tidies orphaned entries and backs up first, but a modern machine will not feel different afterwards.
Are the other programs included?
Yes, Defraggler, Recuva and Speccy install with it as part of the Plus bundle.
Does the upgrade banner come back?
No. The licence is applied during install rather than as a trial reset.
Comments
Recuva got back a folder I deleted an hour earlier. Ran it from a second drive like the notes say.
Startup manager is the part I actually use. Found three things launching that I never installed on purpose.
Comments are read before they appear. If a build stops working, say so here and it gets rebuilt rather than quietly left up.
All four programs installed, Professional in the title bar, no banner.
