Overview
This is the download tool that stayed simple while everything else in the category filled up with bundled extras. Paste a link, choose a quality, and it fetches the file. Where it earns its place is the range of what it handles, whole playlists and channels, subtitle tracks in multiple languages, audio only extraction, and the higher resolution streams that other tools quietly skip because they are delivered as separate video and audio that have to be recombined.
The free version limits how many items you can take per day and caps playlist length, which is where the licensed tier matters. This build has that tier applied, so downloads are unlimited, playlists and channels come down in full, and the extra features like subscription monitoring and in application proxy support are available.
Formats and quality selection
The quality dialog lists every stream the source actually offers rather than a simplified set, up to the highest resolutions and frame rates available. Where a source delivers video and audio separately, which is standard at higher resolutions, it fetches both and remuxes them automatically. Audio only extraction produces a proper file with the metadata and cover art attached rather than a stripped stream.
Smart mode is the setting to configure once and then forget. It stores a chosen format, quality and destination folder, after which pasting a link starts the download immediately with no dialog at all. For grabbing a series of things quickly it turns a five click process into one.
Playlists, channels and subscriptions
Whole playlists come down as a set with the ordering preserved, optionally written into a playlist file so they play in sequence locally. Channels work the same way, with a limit you can set so a channel with two thousand items does not start fetching all of them.
Subscription monitoring watches a channel and pulls new items automatically as they appear, which is the feature that turns this from a tool you open into one that runs quietly. Downloaded items are tracked so nothing is fetched twice, even if the destination folder has been reorganised since.
Subtitles, proxies and everyday behaviour
Subtitles download either embedded into the file or as separate sidecar files, with multiple languages selectable at once. Where a source only offers automatically generated captions, it takes those, with the usual caveats about accuracy. The subtitle format written out is the standard one every player reads.
Downloads resume after an interruption rather than starting over, the queue runs several items in parallel with a configurable limit, and there is a bandwidth cap for when you need the connection for something else. Proxy support is built in, which matters when a source is regionally restricted.

Questions about this release
Is there still a daily limit?
No. The licensed tier is applied, so downloads and playlist lengths are unlimited.
Why does a download fail on a site that worked last week?
Sites change their delivery regularly. Updating the build usually fixes it, since extraction is what each release mostly changes.
Can it take subtitles?
Yes, embedded or as separate files, several languages at once, including automatically generated captions where that is all a source offers.
Does it resume after a dropped connection?
Yes, partial downloads resume rather than restarting.
Comments
Smart mode is the reason to use this one. Paste and it goes, no dialog.
Subtitles as sidecars in two languages, timing was correct. Player picked them up straight away.
Comments are read before they appear. If a build stops working, say so here and it gets rebuilt rather than quietly left up.
No cap anywhere. Pulled a 300 item playlist in one queue overnight.
