Overview
This is the component that makes the generative panels inside Photoshop actually respond. On a normal install those panels are drawn but inert, since the model routing and the credit ledger live outside the application and refuse to answer a machine that has no plan attached to it. This package replaces that side of the arrangement with a local configuration, so Generative Fill, Generative Expand, text to image and the reference image workflow all return results the same way they do on a paid seat.
It installs alongside a Photoshop build that is already on the machine rather than replacing it, which means you keep your preferences, your brush sets and your workspace layout. Nothing about the pixel toolset changes. The only difference after installing is that the panels stop greying themselves out and the generation counter stops counting down toward zero.
What the package actually replaces
Photoshop talks to the generative service through a small support layer that handles authentication, model selection and the credit ledger. That layer is what this package swaps out. The new one answers the application with a permanent entitlement, exposes every model in the dropdown rather than the subset a given plan allows, and reports an unlimited balance so the panel never blocks a request part way through a session.
The generation itself still routes out through the bundled configuration, so results come back at the same quality as a licensed seat. There is no downscaled local model standing in for the real one, which is the shortcut most similar packages take and the reason their output looks soft compared to what the panel produces on a paid machine.
The panels this opens up
Generative Fill and Generative Expand are the two most people install this for. Fill takes a selection and a sentence and composites the result onto its own layer with a matched grain profile. Expand pushes past the original canvas edge and paints what was never in frame, which quietly rescues a crop that was framed too tight during the shoot.
Beyond those two, the package restores the text to image panel, the reference image slot that steers a generation toward the colour and composition of another file, the generative similar variations button, and the structure and style strength sliders that only appear once the entitlement check passes. The vector generation panel is present as well, though it stays experimental in this build and occasionally returns a path set that needs cleaning up by hand.
Getting sensible results out of it
Prompts do better when they describe the material and the light rather than the object. Asking for a wet cobbled surface under low evening light gives a usable result far more often than asking for a street. The panel is compositing into an existing frame, so anything you can tell it about the frame it is compositing into is worth typing.
Selection quality matters more than prompt quality on fill work. A selection that follows the edge of what you want replaced, feathered a pixel or two, produces a clean composite. A rough lasso produces a halo that no amount of rewording will fix. For expand work, leave a little of the original frame inside the new canvas on every side so the model has context to extend from.

Installing it
- Close Photoshop completely, including any background instance in the tray.
- Turn off real time protection, since the entitlement layer is rewritten and will otherwise be quarantined.
- Run the installer as administrator and point it at the Photoshop folder if it does not detect one.
- Wait for the model support files to unpack. This is the slow part of the install.
- Launch Photoshop and open any document. The generative bar appears under the canvas with the counter gone.

Questions about this release
Do I need a Photoshop install already on the machine?
Yes. This is a support package, not the application. It attaches to a Photoshop build that is already installed and does nothing on its own.
Will the credit counter come back?
No. The ledger is replaced rather than reset, so it does not tick down and does not restore itself after a restart.
Does it work with the pre-activated Photoshop builds on this site?
Yes, that is the usual pairing. Install Photoshop first, then this package on top.
Why does the installer trip the antivirus?
It rewrites the entitlement layer, which every scanner reads as tampering. Disable protection for the install and exclude the program folder afterwards.
