Windows MIDI Services Runtime (for MIDI 1.0)

Open PowerShell or Command Prompt and run: winget install Microsoft.WindowsMIDIServicesSDK. Winget is built into Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11.

This project is the next-generation MIDI API for Windows, including MIDI 1.0. It includes enhancements, a new USB class driver, new transports, and essential tools. The project adds many enhancements and bug fixes to our MIDI 1.0 support.

Windows MIDI Services Runtime (for MIDI 1.0) is available under the MIT license. Use winget or the direct download link on this page.

Run winget upgrade Microsoft.WindowsMIDIServicesSDK in PowerShell or Windows Terminal to update Windows MIDI Services Runtime (for MIDI 1.0) to the latest available version.

Run winget uninstall Microsoft.WindowsMIDIServicesSDK in an elevated PowerShell window, or go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps and find Windows MIDI Services Runtime (for MIDI 1.0).
